Bəzən Lightiellidae (Jones, 1961) ikinci fəsilənin də ayrılmasına baxmayaraq, bütün Sefalokaridlər (10-a yaxın növ) əsasən bir dəstəyə – Brachypoda dəstəsinə (Birshteyn, 1960) və bir fəsiləyə Hutchinsoniellidae fəsiləsinə və 5 cinsə bölünür.
