Eudynamys scolopaceus (Asiya koeli) — "Cuculidae" fəsiləsinə aid quş növü.^[3]^[4]

Taksonomiya

1747-ci ildə ingilis təbiətşünası Corc Edvards "A Natural History of Uncommon Birds" əsərində Asiya koelinin təsvirini və illustrasiyasını dərc etdi. O, quşu "The Brown and Spotted Indian Cuckow" adlandırdı. 1758-ci ildə Karl Linney bu növü "Cuculus" cinsinə daxil etdi və "Cuculus scolopaceus" adını verdi. 1827-ci ildə ingilis təbiətşünasları Nikolas Vigors və Tomas Horsfild bu növü "Eudynamys" cinsinə köçürdülər.^[5]^[6] Cinsin adı qədim yunan dilində "yaxşı" mənasını verən "eu" və "güc" mənasını verən "dunamis" sözlərindən götürülmüşdür. Növün adı isə latın dilində "snipe-like" (snipeyə bənzər) mənasını verir.^[7]
