English: Boris Savinkov one of the leader of SR Combat Organization in the court. He was tried by The Military Collegium of the Supreme Tribunal of the Soviet Union. The judge on the process was Vasiliy Ulrikh. Behind him near the door is Vyacheslav Menzhinsky Deputy Chairman of the OGPU, who played the leading role in counterintelligence operation Trust. Context: OGPU created the fake anti-Bolshevik resistance organization and lured Boris Savinkov and Sidney Reilly (Ace of Spies) to USSR, where they were captured. Savinkov was tried and sentenced to death but the Presidium of VTsIK converted the sentence to 10 years imprisonment. He died in prison: committed suicide or was killed by OGPU in May 1925. Reilly was executed in a forest near Moscow in November 1925. He had been sentenced to death by Revolutionary Tribunal in 1918.

August 1924 im Zuge der GPU-Operation Syndikat 2 in Minsk verhafteten Sozialrevolutionär Boris Wiktorowitsch Sawinkow (links stehend, markiert mit einem Kreuz), Moskau. Wjatscheslaw Menschinski, sitzt direkt hinter den Richtern an der rechten Seite des Raums.
