Hollandiya Vest-Hind şirkəti (nid. Geoctroyeerde West-Indische Compagnie) — 1621-ci ildə yaradıldıqdan sonra Amerika və Qərbi Afrikada ticarət və müstəmləkəçilik inhisarını Baş Ştatlardan alan Hollandiyanın Birləşmiş Əyalətləri Respublikasının bir ticarət şirkəti[2].

Əsas fəaliyyət sahələri: kölə ticarəti, qızıl, gümüş, xəz, şəkər, fil sümüyü ticarəti və özəlləşdirmə (xüsusilə İspan gəmilərinin soyulması)[3]. Şirkət metropoliyada (AmsterdamRotterdam da daxil olmaqla) beş ofisə sahib idi və 19 tacirdən ibarət bir məclis tərəfindən idarə olunurdu[4].

West-Indisch Huis, 1623–1647-ci illərdə Vest-Hind şirkətinin mərkəzi qərargahı (Amsterdam)

Portuqaliya müstəmləkə imperiyasının zəifləməsindən istifadə edərək Hollandiyalılar Braziliyanın şimal hissəsini (bax Hollandiya Braziliyası)[5], habelə Surinamı və Qərbi Hindistandakı bir sıra adaları ələ keçirməyi bacardılar (bax Niderlan Antil adaları). Yeni Amsterdam Şimali Amerikadakı əsas Hollandiya[6]ticarət məntəqəsi oldu (bax Yeni Niderland)[7]. Afrika sahillərində bir sıra Portuqaliya ərazilərini ələ keçirməyi bacardılar və yeni qalalar tapdılar (bax Hollandiya Qvineyası)[8].

İflası[redaktə | mənbəni redaktə et]

Şirkət 1674-cü ildə yenidən təşkil edildi, lakin artıq eyni əhəmiyyətə malik deyildi (Braziliyadakı əraziləri Portuqaliya, Yeni Amsterdam və Şimali Amerikadakı digər əmlak İngiltərə tərəfindən ələ keçirildi). Birgə sahiblərin əksəriyyəti Şimali Amerikada sahib olduqlarını itirdilər; istisnası, əmlakı çiçəklənən Kilian van Rensseler idi (özü də Amerikalı tacirlərin və siyasətçilərin görkəmli bir sülaləsini meydana gətirdi). 1791-ci ildə Vest-Hind şirkətinin səhmləri Hollandiya hökuməti tərəfindən satın alındı və müstəqil olaraq mövcud olmağı dayandırdı[9].
