Seks simvol (ing. Sex symbol) — cinsi cəhətdən çox cəlbedici hesab olunan məşhur şəxs və ya uydurma personaj.[1]
Tarixi
İlk dəfə seks simvol termini 1950-ci illərin ortalarında Merilin Monro, Bricit Bardo və Rakel Uelç daxil olmaqla, bəzi film ulduzlarının və pin-up modellərinin populyarlığı ilə əlaqədar olaraq istifadə edilib.[3]
Uydurma seks simvollar
Rotten Tomatoes saytına görə, 1930-cu illərdə cizgi filmi personajı olan Betti Bup "animasiya ekranında ilk və ən məşhur seks simvol" idi.[4]
