Cənubi Azərbaycan Milli Azadlıq Hərəkatı (CAMAH) (Farsca: جنبش آزادیبخش ملی آذربایجان جنوبی , İngiliscə: South Azerbaijan National Liberation Movement) Cənubi Azərbaycanın ilk separatçı təşkilatı olaraq,[1] 1991-ci ildə Piruz Dilənçinin rəhbərliyi altında bir qrup siyasətçi və ziyalı tərəfindən yaradılmışdır.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][2][18][3][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26] İranın parçalanması, müstəqil Cənubi Azərbaycan dövlətinin yaradılması və nəhayətdə Bütöv Azərbaycanın qurulması CAMAH təşkilatının ali və son məqsədidir.

1999-cu ildə Təbrizdə milli hərəkatın güclənməsi ilə, Mahmudəli Çöhrəqanlı CAMAH təşkilatının lideri seçilmiş, 2002-ci ildə isə təşkilatda baş verən daxili fikir ayrılıqları nəticəsində səs çoxluğu ilə Mahmudəli Çöhrəqanlı CAMAH-dan uzaqlaşdırılmışdır[27] və təkrar Piruz Dilənçi CAMAH təşkilatının lideri olaraq fəaliyyətini davam etdirməyə başlamışdır. Bundan sonra, Mahmudəli Çöhrəqanlı CAMAH təşkilatından ayrılan bir qrup şəxslə GAMOH adlı yeni bir qurum yaratmışdır.

Bugün Cənubi Azərbaycanın aparıcı siyasi qurum və təşkilatlarının hamısı, o cümlədən DAK, BAB və GAMOH bünövrəsini CAMAH-dan götürmüş təşkilatlardır.[28]

CAMAH 1991-1999-cu illər arasında Şimali Azərbaycandakı cənub mövzusu ilə bağlı aparıcı mövqeyinə görə hətta Azərbaycan Respublikasının dövlət dairələri tərəfindən də dəstəklənməkdə idi.[29][30][31][32][33] Xüsusilə Heydər Əliyevin prezidentliyi və Namiq Abbasovun MTN-ə rəhbərlik etdiyi dövrlərdə Cənubi Azərbaycan mövzusu Azərbaycan mətbuatı və kütləvi informasiya vasitələrinin gündəmində əhəmiyyətli yer tuturdu.[34][35][36][37][38][39] Bəziləri hesab edirlər ki, bu Piruz Dilənçinin şəxsi nüfuzu ilə bağlıdır.[40][41][42][43][44][45] CAMAH təşkilatının gündəmdə olması işi o yerə çatdırmışdı ki, dəfələrlə ölkə prezidenti, Prezident Aparatı və MTN bununla bağlı rəsmi və qeyri-rəsmi münasibətlər bildirmişdilər.[46]

Heydər Əliyevin vəfatından sonra, istər Piruz Dilənçi, istərsə də Cənubi Azərbaycan mövzusu Azərbaycanın gündəmindən silinməyə və daha sonra çıxarılmağa başladı.[47] Cənublu mütəxəssislər bunu İlham Əliyevin İran qarşısındakı zəif siyasəti ilə izah edirlər.

Dilenchi argued that almost 1,000 Azeri youths were being trained by Tehran to foment an Islamic revolution in Baku. He and his colleagues also talked about the repressions Tehran was visiting upon Azeris in Iran itself. On 12 August, in the midst of concerns with Kurds, Turks, Azerbaijanis, Israelis and Americans, the Azeri question again came to the fore. On that day, there was a failed assassination attempt of Piruz Dilanci, a leader of the National Liberation Movement of Southern Azerbaijan (NLMSA: Guney Azerbayjan Milli Kurtulu Hareketi) and a well-known poet, at his home in Baku. Dilanci was himself an émigré from Tabriz, the capital of Azerbaijan-Iran, having arrived in Baku in the late 1980s. He did not rule out that Tehran's agents might have organized his attempted assassination.103 The NLMSA was organized in the early 1990s by a group of political émigrés of Azeri origin from Iran. The NLMSA declared that its principal goal was the independence of Southern Azerbaijan, that is, Iran-Azerbaijan104. Tehran could not, however, dawdle over the actions of the NLMSA...
